PREFACE
Field Study 2 is a course offered to teacher education students in higher education. This course provides an opportunity for students to exploreparticipation and teaching assistantship. It provides an overview of the teaching world and prepares them to become professionally licensed teachers based on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) and otherinternational standards. This course module is created to provide flexibleengagement in the field-based assistantship need of the Field Study Supervising Teacher Educator (FSSTE). This course is always in close coordination between and among the Field Study Teacher (FST), Field Study Supervising Teacher Educator (FSSTE), and Field Study Student(FST) . This is divided into three parts: Module 1: Learning Environment that exposes the FS student to design a learning environment for different types of learners in different learning modalities. Part of the course that introduces Structuring Classroom and Managing Classroom and Designing a Program and Certificates for School Activities. While Module 2: Teaching-LearningProcess provides experiences in Designing Lesson Plan, Producing Instructional Materials, Teaching Demonstrations, Preparing and Administering Summative tests, and Conducting Intervention sessions. Lastly, Module 3: Other Teachers’ Tasks provides a practice on the Accomplishment of School Forms, Conducting Meetings with parents as part of a home-school partnership, and Participating in the Action Research.

Module 1: Learning Environment (Best Output)
Module 1 provide us with authentic experiences in the management of physical and virtual learning environments for different types of learners. This consists of three learning episodes. Episode 1 entails designing a physical classroom, bulletin boards, and virtual classrooms. Episode 2 involves the management of classroom routines and discipline. Episode 3 includes the preparation of programs and certificates for a school activity.
EPISODE 1: Structuring Classroom
In this episode, the group design a physical classroom, bulletin board, and the virtual classroom. The physical classroom was made from the Canva, and the group utilized the Google Classroom for their virtual classroom. By structuring classroom the group was able to know the importance of having a classroom that is conducive to learning that will help the students to stay focused, engaging and motivated to learn.
EPISODE 2: Managing Classroom Routines and Discipline
In Episode 2, the group are introduced to the concept of managi classroom routines and discipline. This episode highlights the importance of establishing clear expectations and routines from the beginning of the school year, and how to effectively communicate these expectations to students. By doing so, the group created a video which shows how to manage a classroom. A an aspiring teacher we can create a positive and safe learning environment for the student which is conducive to their academic success.
EPISODE 3: Designing a Program and Certificates for a School Activity
In episode 3, the group created a sample program and certificates for a school activity. The group created a sample program about the activity on Dramatic Oral Reading Contest, while the sample certificates are about the participation of the students and recognition on the winners and judges. By this episode, we were able to know the importance of being able to adhere to the design principles and the accuracy of making a program and certificates.
Module 2: Teaching - Learning Process (Best Output)
Module 2 provide us with an authentic experiences in the application of knoweldge and skills in the teaching- learning process. This consist of 5 learning episodes. Episode 1 focuses on designing a lesson plan. Episode 2 is on the production of instructional materials. Episode 3 is an actual teaching demonstration that utilizes the lesson plan and intruction materials we produced. Episode 4 is on the preparation and administration of summative test with TOS and item analysis. Episode 5 is on conducting an intervention session.
EPISODE 1: Designing Lesson Plan
In episode 1, the group was able to learned to design a lesson plan. First, we make a draft of the lesson plan following the basic format of preparing a lesson plan based on DepEd Order No. 42, s.2016. The lesson plan is guided with the guidelines and rubrics based on the module. In which, the references that we used are from the book and module of the students. Each member of the group contributed in making the lesson plan.
In episode 2, the group created an instructional materials combined with traditional using cartolina and digital in Powerpoint Presentation. The group was able to integrate traditional and digital methods in teaching as they believe that it can allow the students to have an access to an expansive array of resources. In fact, using such tools in teaching strategy can enable the students and teachers to collaborate and communicate effectively.
In episode 3, the teaching demonstration took place at the ILS Grade 8 classroom on April 23, 2024. As a group, they arrived promptly at 10:30AM and the class will start at exactly 11:00AM- 12:00PM. Before starting their demonstration, they make sure that the classroom is clean and well organized. Each member of the group, act as a teacher and has an assigned parts that they will demonstrate. It was a great opportunity to had our demonstration in actual classroom setting as the group was able to practice their teaching skills.
EPISODE 4: Preparing and Administering Summative Tests
In episode 4, this is a class activity and they prepare a TOS, summative test and item analysis. The entire class collaborated on this task. Group 1 was responsible for creating the Table of Specifications (TOS), while all groupscollectively developed the Summative Test Questions. Group 3 administered the summative test of Grade 8, while Group 4 administered the summative test of Grade 9 and Group 5 was tasked with the item analysis.
In episode 5, the group didn't able to conduct intervention session with the Grade 8 students. However, we created an Intervention Plan that serves as blueprint in helping to build a student a specific skills or reach the intended learning outcomes. This intervention plan involves the objectives, intervention, strategy, time frame, persons involved, success indicators and the remarks/outcomes.
Module 3 is designed to provide us with a learning experience and exposure in the preparation of school forms, the conduct of parent-teacher activities, and assistance in undertaking action research. Episode 1 is focused on the Accomplishment of School Forms. Episode 2 dwells on Home-School Partnership. Episode 3 emphasizes Participation in Action Research.Purpose: The purpose of this module is for you to assist a teacher in accomplishing the school forms, the conduct of parent-teacher activities, and participation in action research.
EPISODE 1: Accomplishing School Forms
In episode 1, the group accomplished the sample DepEd School Forms. The form consists of SF 1, SF 2, SF 3, SF 4, SF 5, SF 6, SF 9, SF 10 and the DTR. By accomplishing the different forms, the group were able to know the importance of making sure that the data is accurate and consistent. It was their first time to fill out such form, and they believe that the experience they have gained will be helpful in becoming a teacher.
In episode 2, the group did not able to conduct a meeting with the parents both face - to - face and online due to lack of time. But they created a sample Notice of Meeting, Attendance Form and a PowerPoint Presentation. The PPT contains about the Homeroom Parent's- Teacher Association (HPTA) Meeting.
In episode 5, the class was able to craft their proposed Classroom - Based Action Research (CBAR). The title of the action research is "Capturing and Maintaining Student's Attention through Gamification". The group participated on contributing with the assigned parts on Chapter III: Methodologies, the Research Locale, Participants of the Study and Research Instruments. This action research will focus on using gamification as a teaching strategy in the classroom.

Assisted the Grade 9 students with their activity (January 31, 2024)
This is the group first deployment at the LNU - Integrated Laboratory School (ILS). The class will begin at 10 o'clock and the group arrived 15 minutes early in the classroom. The teacher of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (ESP) started his class with a prayer, attendance, and followed with a motivational activity. The group assisted the teacher with his activity called "7UP", we help the students in arranging the chairs and the students will be asked by the teacher to answer one (1) question.
The teacher asked the group to create a seat plan. The group created the seat plan using a bond paper and after creating the draft of the seat plan, we give them to the students to put their name. We were able to give the seat plan to the teacher after the student's fill out their name.
Assisted in Administering the Tests of Grade 8 (March 19, 2024)
In this day, the group are not informed that it is their 3rd Quarter Examination but we arrived on time. The teacher asked the group to assist him in giving the tests paper to the students. The students answer their exam with 30 minutes allotted time. After their exam, the teacher give the papers for us to check them.
Checking the Third Quarter Examination of Grade 8 (March 19, 2024)
After the group finished at the ILS, the group decided to check the tests paper of the students. The teacher give us the answer key of the examination, and most of the students in the class passed the exam. It was an opportunity to check the papers of the students as we are able to know the students knowledge throughout the 3rd Quarter as a preparation for our Teaching Demonstration on the 4th Quarter.
Teaching Demonstration with the Grade 8 students (April 23, 2024)
This day is our teaching demonstration with the Grade 8 students, we arrived 30 minutes early to arrange the chairs of the students and to prepare our instructional materials. The students actively participated with the given activity, and they participate they receive prizes. The teaching demonstration was successful as we were able to finish our activities and discussion following what's in the lesson plan.
